ABOLITION OF CAPITAL PUNISHMENT

Because we believe in the worth of every human personality and are therefore opposed to capital punishment, we call upon the legislatures in all states in which the death penalty prevails and upon the Congress of the United States to pass legislation repealing it, to appoint special commissions to study and hold public hearings on this question. We further urge those of our membership who are interested to work with the committees to advocate the abolition of capital punishment.
